Jimmy Brogdon is a respected well known artist.  He has always been drawn to the arts and crafts.  Jimmy began in the 50’s as a machinist working for the Navy and then as a photographer in the 60’s.  He has been both an amateur and professional photographer in the Florida Keys where he lived for many years and later in Georgia where he had a summer home.  

Wood carving has also been a passion since childhood with many of his carvings sought after and collected.  He has taught wood carving at the Blue Ridge Mountains Art Association. He also made jewelry and learned casting. 

In 2002 he became interested in glass fusing and dichroic glass became a welcome inclusion in his jewelry because of the beauty and dynamic color combinations available. He has been taking and teaching art classes at the William Holland School of Lapidary Art for several years. 

Jimmy has been selling his art at Arts and Craft shows from Florida to West Virginia and has been a part of the Sunset Celebration in Key West since it started over 20 years ago.
